In accordance with laws related to the protection of personal information (Personal Information Protection Law), Shinwa Chemical Industries Ltd. (hereinafter "Shinwa") recognizes the importance of personal information in today's sophisticated information communication society, and as such, operates a personal information protection and management system based on the following policy.

1. Definition of personal information
   Personal information refers to information related to an individual, and consists of information including names, addresses, birthdates, and e-mail addresses, etc; as well as numbers and symbols assigned to individuals, and video and voice data which can lead to the identification of individuals (Also includes information which alone cannot be used to identify individuals, but can be used to identify individuals through simple collation with other information.).
2. Acquisition of personal information
   Shinwa acquires personal information in a legal and fair manner.
3. Use of personal information
   (1) Shinwa uses personal information within the limits of use notified or publicized in advance. (2) When entrusting the handling of personal information to third parties, Shinwa performs thorough investigations and selections of contractors, and implements appropriate and necessary contractor management in order to ensure the safe management of personal information.
4. Disclosure of personal information to third parties
   Unless otherwise stated in law, Shinwa does not disclose personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the person in question.
5. Management of personal information
   (1) Shinwa maintains the accuracy of and safely manages personal information within limits necessary for the achievement of the purpose of use. (2) Shinwa implements reasonable security measures with respect to unauthorized access of personal information and computer viruses, etc. in order to prevent the loss, destruction, manipulation, and leakage, etc. of personal information. (3) Shinwa implements employee education and training programs related to the protection and appropriate management of personal information in order to achieve thorough implementation of appropriate personal information handling in its daily operations.
6. Disclosure, correction, cease of use, and deletion of personal information
   Shinwa recognizes that individuals have the right to request disclosure, corrections, cease of use, and deletion, etc. of personal information, and responds immediately and without objection to such requests.
