Chiral Separation Chromatography
The ULTRON ES series consists of columns designed specifically for chiral separations that employ chemically immobilized protein (ULTRON ES-OVM, ULTRON ES-PEPSIN, ULTRON ES-BSA) and cyclodextrin (ULTRON ES-CD, ULTRON ES-PhCD) stationary phases.
Chiral Separation Chromatography: Specifications and Prices
ULTRON ES-OVM / ULTRON ES-OVM-C / ULTRON ES-OVM-M
Features
- Employs the protein ovomucoid as the stationary phase.
- Enables separations of a wide variety of compounds ranging from basic to acidic.
- Can be used for reversed-phase analyses.
- Suitable for trace analyses.
- Designed to confirm separations of Clopidogrel bisulfate (USP) [ULTRON ES-OVM-C]
- Designed to confirm separations of Escitalopram oxalate (USP) [ULTRON ES-OVM-E]
- Corresponded to L57
Comparison data between 5 μm and 3 μm
LC/MS analysis example
This column can be used for analyses for LC/MS employing volatile buffers such as ammonium acetate or ammonium formate.
Direct injection of a sample containing HSA
It is possible to separate optical isomers of Ketoprofen in HSA-containing samples even on direct injection of untreated samples without adverse effects due to HSA. In addition, as the ovomucoid stationary phase is a trypsin inhibitor, adverse effects due to samples containing trypsin are also kept to a minimum, making it suitable for analyses of biological samples.
ULTRON ES-OVM / ULTRON ES-OVM-C / ULTRON ES-OVM-E
ULTRON ES-PEPSIN
Features
- Employs pepsin, which is a polypeptide-digesting enzyme of pig stomach mucous membrane origin as the stationary phase.
- Effective for the enantiomer separation of amino alcohols such as β-blocker medicines.
- Can be used for reversed-phase analyses.
- Suitable for trace analyses.
ULTRON ES-BSA-2
Features
- Employs BSA, which is a bovine serum albumin as the stationary phase.
- Effective for the enantiomer separation of acidic compounds such as allylpropionic acid drugs.
- No sample preparation is required for chiral separation.
- Can be used for reversed-phase analyses.
- Suitable for trace analyses.
- Corresponded to L75
Methotrexate (USP)
Sulindac
Ketoprofen
ULTRON ES-CD / ULTRON ES-CD-2 / ULTRON ES-PhCD
Features
- Employs the β-cyclodextrin (CD) and phenylcarbamated β-cyclodextrin (PhCD), respectively.
- Capable of chiral separations of hydrophobic cyclic compounds.
- Both reverse and normal phase eluents can be used.
- Corresponded to L45
- ULTRON ES-CD-2 is an up-graded version of ULTRON ES-CD with good scalability.
